Tysons has bikeable trails, streets and sidewalks that make commuting by bike easy. 8421 Broad and Adaire secure bike parking facilities on-site for residents and many Capital Bikeshare stations nearby. 

Tyco Road is one of Tysons’ most bike-friendly roads. Tyco also provides direct access to dedicated bike lanes in East Tysons which leads out to the W&OD Trail is just over a 10-minute bike ride and provides a paved trail with various destinations, spanning between Loudoun and Arlington.

Capital Bikeshare is the DC Metro area’s public bikeshare service, with 4,300 bikes and 500+ stations across 6 jurisdictions. Reston is home to numerous Capital Bikeshare locations, making it a convenient way to navigate the area around Reston.

You can take a bike from any docking station and ride to your destination for as little as $0.05 per minute. You can also purchase a day pass or annual membership to unlock bikes and take unlimited rides of up to 45 minutes for free, plus get discounted rides on e-bikes (normally $0.15 per minute).

There are three Capital Bikeshare stations within a five-minute walk of 8421 Broad and Adaire:

  • Tyco Road
  • Spring Hill Metro Station

Once you’re done with your ride, just park it at any bikeshare station near your destination. If you’re using a Capital Bikeshare e-bike, which may be black or silver, you can also use the attached cable to lock the e-bike to any public bike rack within the service area for an extra $2.00 fee.
